Smashing Lad is a 2009 17.1h Irish Draught Sport Hors, registered with the IDHSNA. Lad is currently confirmed second level dressage, novice eventing, and has schooled up through 3' jumpers. This easy going guy would be perfect for an amateur or junior/young rider wanting to learn the ropes. Lad has been brought along by a junior and has quite the list of accomplishments. In 2016, Lad finished 1st in a USPC dressage rally at training level, 1st place training level musical freestyle for USPC, and MDA training level YR Champion. In 2017, Lad was 9th place at the USPC Festival and Championships training level for the musical freestyle, and 1st place at BN TEAM event. In 2018, Lad was MDA first level JYR Champion, USDF 1st Level Champion at Waterloo, 3rd place Great Lakes Regional Championship for First Level, 2nd place at Kentucky Regionals for 1st level, and 6th place Kentucky Regionals for 1st level Championships Class. In 2019, he was 1st place for MDA 1st level. Lad has competed through BN eventing. He has schooled novice XC, and is brave at all of the obvious questions inlcuding ditches, banks, and water. Lad has jumped through grids of 3'. He is straightforward, a slight kick ride, and has a snaffle mouth in all three phases. Lad has been roading with hounds and would be a foxhunting prospect. He hacks out regularly, and is the same horse both on and off the property. Lad is UTD on vaccines, farrier, dental, and worming. He has current radiographs on file for interested parties.
